Intimate Autumn

people

I have always been interested in photographing people and life. Emotions and personality are elements of life I want to be able to capture the most in an image. For those intimate candid photographs, trying to capture something that isn't easily seen at first glance and forcing the audience to look deeper, is challenging, yet I keep trying to master that perfect pose nonetheless.

I've recently worked within portraiture as a main focus point for my projects and since the very beginning, directing and shooting has come surprisingly natural to me, resulting in some of what I think are my best images.

Directing a photo shoot feels instinctively easy for me which is ironic due to my social anxiety. Growing up and coping with social anxiety has really held me back in many ways throughout my life but when I'm working on photography, directing shoots, I feel confident in my own opinions and ideas come more freely.

Holding a camera and regularly being in that type of environment gives me a sense of a calm confidence that I normally hide and don't get to feel at times.

Photography has always been my main interest in life, it gives me a voice that I would otherwise shy away from. I tend to focus on how the world looks and how to capture it through a lens, even if people expect it to look bad, I feel I can give a different perception.
